1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how DJR Foods uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies on djrfoods.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a site stores in your browser. They allow the site to remember information about you between page loads or visits — for example, that you are signed in, or what you have in your cart. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage, which are also covered by this policy.
3. Why we use them
We use cookies and browser storage to:
- Keep you signed in to your wholesale account between visits.
- Remember items in your cart and quote drafts.
- Apply your account-level pricing as you browse the catalog.
- Remember preferences (e.g. catalog tab, view mode).
- Measure aggregate site usage to improve performance.
4. Cookies we use
The first-party storage we set falls into three categories:
Strictly necessary
token/authToken(localStorage) — your signed JWT after sign-in. Without it, you can't access account-level pages.- Session cookies set by our hosting platform (Vercel) to handle requests reliably.
Functional
cart(localStorage) — products, quantities, and unit selections in your current cart.viewMode, activePage, and similar preference keys (localStorage) — UI state so the catalog opens where you left off.
Performance / analytics
djr_visitor_id(localStorage) — a random first-party browser ID used to count returning visitors and understand page usage.djr_session_id(sessionStorage) — a random session ID used to group page views during one browsing session.- First-party analytics events — pages viewed, clicked buttons/links, referrer/UTM source, device type, and approximate location from hosting headers.
5. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or social-media beacons on djrfoods.com. Our website analytics are first-party and stored by DJR Foods. The only external resources we load are:
- Google Fonts (Inter typeface) — does not set cookies.
- OpenStreetMap tiles for our admin map view — does not set cookies on visitor browsers.
If we add any third-party tracking in the future, this policy will be updated and visible on the site before it takes effect.
6. Your choices
You can disable or delete cookies and localStorage in your browser settings at any time. Note that doing so will sign you out and clear your cart, and account-restricted pages will not work until you sign in again.
